Custom French Country Nook

West Stockbridge, MASS

We decided to transform a tired corner of this stunning home into a comforting sitting area full of pattern and texture. The soft yet vibrant colors of yellow, red and blue were combined through use of linen, vintage fabrics and textiles to create an eyeful of soothing cheerful colors. The roman shades were custom made in a linen chinoiserie marigold pattern, while the custom semi circle seat cushion was constructed in a heavy natural and indigo tartan plaid. The clients love of pillows are evident with an abundance of custom made vintage fabric pillows combined with an antique 60” French table and cherry plaid farmhouse hand upholstered and distressed antique chairs to fill out the space. Finally a thoughtful arrangement of faux and dried flora arranged in an antique pitcher and basin were added for fun.
